The construction of
Contract #2, the 9th Street and Los Olivos Avenue Project, began April
15, 2008. This project involves the construction of water mainlines on
both 9th Street and Los Olivos Avenue. The work currently underway,
upgrading the water main on 9th Street from Ferrell Avenue to Santa Ynez
Avenue, should be completed by April 18, 2008 with a temporary overlay
of asphalt on top of the backfilled trench until the final paving is
done. The contractor, R. Baker, Inc., will then move on to Los Olivos
Avenue from 9th Street to 10th Street by the week of April 21, 2008.
