Water Infrastructure Capital Improvement Projects (CIP)
Construction on the Los Osos Community Services
District’s Water Infrastructure Capital Improvement
Projects (CIP) are now beginning throughout Los Osos and
will continue through the beginning of the summer. These
projects, which will improve the District’s water
infrastructure, have been awarded to three local
contractors: John Madonna Construction, D-Kal
Engineering Contractors, and R. Baker, Inc. Improvements
to the water system will be made throughout the town.
The
first project, constructed by John Madonna Construction,
will be an upgrade to the 16th Street Booster Station
and an expansion of the boosted zone. This project will
include a new booster station and building at the 16th
Street Tank site, pressure reducing stations and check
valves located throughout the District.
The
second project, constructed by D-Kal, is a water main
upgrade on 16th Street from Santa Ysabel to El Moro
Avenue; El Moro Avenue from 13th Street to 16th Street;
Santa Ysabel Avenue from 15th Street to 16th Street; and
13th Street from Santa Ysabel to El Moro Avenue.
The
third project, constructed by R. Baker, is another water
main upgrade on 9th Street from Ferrell Avenue to Santa
Ynez Avenue and on Los Olivos Avenue from 9th Street to
10th Street.
These
Phase I Capital Improvement Projects consist of
improvements to those critical components that address
and provide adequate water supply, pressure and fire
protection for the community. The District appreciates
the understanding and cooperation of residents in these
work zones and regrets any inconvenience during this
construction period. Questions or concerns should be
