Corrosion Control Treatment Program
LOCSD Utilities Department has successfully implemented
the corrosion control program and completed the second
annual round of sampling for lead and copper during the
fall of 2004. The sampling event involves the “first
draw” water sample collection of forty homes in the
community. Analytical results revealed reduced copper
levels and lead results indicate no reportable levels to
be found. Due to reduced levels the sampling has been
condensed to a triennial basis with only twenty homes
required. The next sampling event will take place in
September 2007 and the following in September 2010.
